We accommodate placements of nannies, babysitters fulltime, part time and casually.
Our name speaks for itself. We focus mainly on the Southside of Sydney, in the Sutherland Shire and St George area though we may take bookings in other suburbs.
Our Babysitters/nannies vary from young, vibrant and fresh carers with new ideas, as well as older carers with many years of experience and qualifications.
Southside Nannies provide the best quality and level of care.
Relationships and communication between families and carers is very important to us.
We promote professionalism and respectful communications between our clients and carers.
FOR NANNIES/BABYSITTERS
PLACEMENT PROCESS
1 – Carers contact Southside Nannies
2 – Phone conversation with Southside Nannies. We perform a face to face interview, with each applicant.
3 – Face to face interview. Applicant fills out a application form and hands over resume and references.
4 – Applicant will receive a phone call regarding interview and results from screening with children check.

FEES
Your pay is up to the family who hired you. Your pay depends on your overall qualifications, experience, duties and your responsibilities.
Wages do vary from $16 - $22 per hour.

PLACEMENT PROCESS
1 – Contact Southside Nannies
2 – Provide us with your personal details and number of children, ages, days/hours and required duties/responsibilities.
3 – We provide you with three to four applications that are suitable for your needs to be interviewed.
4 – As a family you interview selected candidates – we recommend the children are present so the applicant and children can interact.
5 – Inform Southside Nannies which nanny you have decided on.

PAYROLL
It is up to the family to decide how much their nanny gets paid. It does depend on qualifications, experience and duties/responsibilities.
The on going rate is between $16 - $22 per hour.

WHAT IS A NANNY
A nanny is normally 18 years or older. Our nannies have qualifications in early childhood, primary, secondary, additional needs or social studies.
Our nannies number one responsibility is the children.
Some families may want the nanny to do light cooking, washing and cleaning. However nannies must clean all areas up after them, children’s bedrooms, bathing and eating routines.
WHAT IS A NANNY/HOUSEKEEPERS
A nanny/housekeeper does both cleaning the house as well as looking after the children.
Nannies normally only clean lightly, though nanny/housekeepers are paid extra to do both jobs.
WHAT IS NANNYSHARE
Nannyshare is when two families come together as one to share the same nanny.
The nanny and children from both families meet at the same place and same time.
Nannyshare is a cheaper version for the families, though the nanny does end up with extra money as they have twice the responsibility.
WHAT IS BEFORE AND AFTER CARE
Before and after school care normally facilitates for carer’s that are currently studying.
They look after the children in the morning by taking them to school, and picking the children up from school and looking after them for minimum three hours
WHAT IS A BABYSITTER
Our babysitters are 18 or older. Our babysitters are usually currently studying or as a second job.
All of our babysitters have qualifications in childcare, and have current First Aid qualifications.
DUTIES
Babysitter’s duties include
- Organizing and cooking meals
- Bed routine
- Bathing routine
- 1:1 interaction
- Cleaning up after themselves and the children.
CASUAL RATES
Agency fee - $20
Carers wage - $17 - $22 per hour (up to family).
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All booking fees must be paid in full prior to babysitters/nannies arrival.
Bookings must be made 24hours prior to arrival time – surcharge may apply.
Cancellations made after 3pm of the day, we still require an agency fee.
Hourly rates and booking fee rise on Public holidays, Christmas period (23rd Dec – 3rd Jan) and Easter weekend.
OUR GUARANTEE
If your nanny for some reason does not work out we provide a six week guarantee period.
We will find another suitable nanny for you if your nanny does not work out before four weeks of their starting date.
Our final guarantee offer is if your nanny does not work out again after another six weeks we will provide another nanny for half the agency price.
We will contact both family and nanny after two months to see if everything is working out and everyone is happy.
